Martinez, CaliforniaSep. 19, 1904.Dear Mr Secor:I have just received your letter dated August 12th 1903. When it was written I was in Manchuria & it followed me round the world without overtaking me until yesterday From Shanghai it was sent to Pekin & forwarded from there by the U.S. Legation. It is a very kind letter & I sincerely thank you for it & for the handsome set of spoons which I think were acknowledged by my daughter The picture too is charming in which you are sketching on a beautiful stream bank.
