2But dont give yourself any trouble about the confounded draft. It is only a piece of paper until signed, & since it is lost you can get another from the bank that sold it. Only the loss of the long letter is to be deplored.I found a lot of letters from the President of the Wisconsin University requesting me to be present at the jubilee & make a speech. But I arrived home too late & I dont like speechmaking anyhow I got home on the 27th of May last having been away more than a year & a few days after reaching home had to go to the Grand Canon [diacritic] & petrified forest of Arizona. So I may say I have just arrived, & commenced getting accumulated correspondence of my hands.
