San FranciscoAug. 8, 1905My dear Mr Muir:We have heard with great sorrow of Mrs Muir's death. I was on the point of going over today, but finally decided that it would be better not to intrude at this time.Mrs Merriam and the children have been down for a few days but have now gone back to Camp Meeker, where I expect to join them tomorrow or next day.Shall you go right back to Arizona? I suppose Helen is there still, and trust she is regaining health & strength rapidly. Wanda must have had a severe strain. Give them both our best love. Yours as everC. Hart MerriamAddress Acad.
