[Rough draft of letter] [ca. 1904 Jul 13][Alden Anderson]Dear Mr. Anderson (?):I have already met Mayor Chittenden, Mr. R. B. Marshall and Mr. Frank Bond yesterday in S.F., and considered with [them] the revision of the Yo[semite] Park boundaries. In gen[eral] I am opposed to changes that would diminish the area of the park. It should rather be increased. A small portion on the S.W. cor[ner] where a few mines are located might be cut off, provided this would not result in making easy and sure the destruction of the forests on patented lands thereabout. If practicable, the private claims in the sugar pine region should be taken up by [the] Government at fair price, or condemned.[Letter breaks off here]03536
