My dear Mr. Muir:- I beg to acknowledge receipt of yours of the 28th ult.I wish that I had the words or the eloquence with which I might show my appreciation of your kind letter in an appropriate manner, but lacking these, I must content myself by saying, "I thank you most sincerely".I hope that I will live to see a road built around the southern rim of the Valley as recommended by the Federal Commission, also all the trails opened up, fins hotels built, and the following words carved by loving and grateful hands on one of Gods majestic rooks in the Valley: "The development and the preservation of the natural beauty of this valley is all due to the tireless efforts of that scientist, post and grand character, John Muir".Please accept the thanks of Mrs. Estudillo and myself for the book you so kindly sent to us. It is a treasure in our library I assure you.Thanking you again and wishing you God-speed in all your work,I remain, Very sincerely yours,Miguel Estudillo03541
