Martinez Nov 27 / 05Darlings, In the letter I wrote you this morning I forgot to tell you to be sure to tell Mr Stevenson to charge Mr Coleman's expenses for trip to forest & board at the Hotel to me. Tell him beforehand, or pay it yourselves in money, for it would never do to let Mr Coleman pay anything under the circumstances.I have been expecting Charlie to come & talk over the land he wants for his money loaned. He has sold the little ranch beyond Barber's & says he does not now want any of the Barber hill, but I think he should if we wish him to. He told the Colemans he wanted the rest of the hill vineyard, but he should not & will not get this. Possibly he would next choose the pecan flat & the hill above it or the piece of flat by the Wolford ranch & hill above with piece of apricot orchard
