The AlbaradoAlbuquerque, N. M., Dec. 21 1905Dear Mr JohnsonI am glad to hear you are to have a good Italian vacation You have earned It many times over. Good luck to you & thanks for your kind thoughts of me & my girls. Helen is still in Arizona & will be probably for a year longer when we hope she will be as well as ever thanks to the dry plateau air Both Wanda & I are with her most of the time, & I am trying to make the most of my opportunities to study the petrified forests adjacent to Adamana. A half dozen or more thousand acre areas are strewn thickly with huge agate trunks millions of years old.I am in Albuquerque only for the day. My address is still Martinez as I have to go back to the desolate home occasionally on business I congratulate you on your grand-daughter. Remember me to Agnes & Mrs Johnson & the Gilders & believe me with best wishes ever faithfully yoursJohn Muir10052
