John Burroughs was the first to greet me in the crowd. & I Have been shaking hands ever since The party are exceptionally good natured for scientists Not a single fight Yet Brewer is [hale?] & hearty as ever He alone might be trusted to keep all calm & harmonious. He has a regular peace-be-still face. Fernow is very jolly. Fernow the botantist such a Capital fellow02587[2][letterhead]& as far as I have seen so are they all.We have got our room on the steamer & will sail this eveningI wish you all could be with me We will go to Glacier Bay & perhaps up the Stickeen a days journey all details of visits to different points are settled by committees etcThe lectures are the only things that bother me.
