[Page 2] Are much as they were when you went away, excepting that the garret looks empty. I have only time for a little this morning. I am busy for the poor Willards. Yesterday afternoon their house burned to the ground. The gas company sent a mere boy to remedy some trouble with the gas and he caused an explosion that destroyed the house by fire.
