[Page 1] Dear Mr. amd Mrs. Muir Miss Eastwood and I thank you very much for your kind invitation to visit you this week, but we had already made all arrangements, to go to one of the Shafter Howard ranches at Point Reyes at the end of this week, and we can not postpone the trip, as Mrs Shafter Howard has written to her tenants to expect us on Friday. Miss Eastwood is very busy at present and can not leave the city for some time except on this one prearranged trip to Point Reyes. As for myself, there is no place
