[2]solitude. That I did not you may in great part thank Frank who used me so well & showed me so much of the fair. I had a grand fertile time among the fiords & valleys of Norway Got some fine telling facts there bearing on my studies., Also in Switzerland through which I bored pretty thouroughly though I made no special studies In London I spent about two weeks - an awful wilderness. But fortunately I found my old friend Hooker with whom I had a delightful & instructive time. He took me through the Abbey Parliment House Museum etc & then out to his home in Sunningdale 25 miles from London where he showed me his portfolio of sketches he made in the little known
