THE SIERRA CLUB,SAN FRANCISCO,OFFICE: ROOM [56]ACADEMY OF SCIENCES BUILDING,[809] MARKET STREET.Dec. 21,1893.Dear Sir:-In accordance with a resolution to that effect,passed by the Board of Directors of the Sierra Club, a Committee has been appointed to represent the Sierra Club in the matter of the Pacific (Mt.Rainier) Forest Reserve, and to co-operate with the Committees already appointed from the Geological Society of America, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the National Geographic Society, In their efforts to have such Reserve set apart by the Federal Government as a Park.The Committee from the Sierra Club is composed of the following members :- Mr. John Muir,Mr. Robert Underwood Johnson,Pres.David Starr Jordan,Mr. George B.
