May 19th /67Dear brother John Your short note of the 15th was received yesterday excepting which I believe it is longer since I heard from you than you from me - I am right glad to learn that shortly letters may be dis- pensed with for a while. Come The model is still here if in existence at all, it is not near complete yet I have had but very little time since I returned as I have only worked in the shop a little. worked some in the new mill and some in the saw-mill. The new shop will perhaps start in about a month You did not tell whether your sight was much affected593
