My Partner & I shipped 7 tons to Philadelphia and made about $350. clear - I sold the piece of land [illegible] last summer in the Fall and made $700 clear - I am very busy clearing a piece of land. I have 7 Me[illegible] all from Canada with me. My sister & Bro-in-law are with me "we have quite a00355[3]pleasant little community here I am feeling quite at home" We have a good Minister and Preaching twice each Sunday & a good Sabbath School & day School" We are to have a new Church & Parsonage with in the Spring". I was in Bradfon in January and had a good time. I saw D. & A Campbell and was at their house they were all quite well and said they intended writing to you" How has the winter been with you? here it has been exceedly severe we have had good [illegible] Si[illegible] the Middle [illegible] and have been able to go to Sa[illegible] with Horse & Cutter or Sleighs quite regularly we are 20 miles from Main land the [illegible] is beginning to break up now & our chances for a good crop of grapes seem good. I wish you could taste our grape [illegible] -
