[1863] Madison June 12thDear Sister & Brother I rec'd yours with ten dollars I was surprised to see so much money It will perhaps be useful before my journey is completed but whether or not I thank you for it very much as shewing your good nature I am thinner than usual and feel somewhat exhausted I have done more than usual though my health has not been so good I delivered a lecture at the examination yesterday upon [illegible].
