Farm July 10 1868Dear John Words cannot express my feelings when I received you letter of June 10th - We were all thouroughly alarmed for your safety - as so many letters were sent to San Francisco, and found no owner. David and Daniel both wrote to San Francisco but their letters were returned to them, after lying there thirty days, Sarah sent two and I sent two - how happy I am to know that you are well and comfortable, and have enjoyed life so much in the golden state after all your travels. I hope you will arrive in health in Wis -
