Hickory Dale March 11th [1862] Dear John I have just arrived here. I left Madison in the 8th on Saturaday I waited and waited for you till nearly 3 oclock and then started. Perhaps you did not get my letter. I wrote a letter to you a month before my school ended telling you to finish your school on Friday and meet me in Ma[illegible] on Saturday but you did not come I also sent four dollars in it. I staid at Watsons all Sunday and found Mother and Dan & the girls all well on Monday. I arrived at Maggie's about an hour ago They are well. Maggie is not very stout. Annie Reid is all right Please to write a letter right off and direct it to Midland Good Bye etc. etc. D G M00289
