Buffalo Wis Monday night Dear Friend John [It is?] Monday evening and about 8 oclock and they say that I must write a few lines to you Now John I have not much to write since you went away there has been a change taken place amongst us I have traded back my place to Everest and nursery and I am working at your fathers for $20 per month I don't know whether I shall work all summer or not I have the use of my old place for one one year and Everest is not satisfied with me leaving the place but I shall know soon there is nothing very particular going on here. David has got here to night and feels as crazy as a bed bug thinking about his dear he only stayed one night at his fathers in Portage and I guess he is going over to Kate to morrow to her some sweet stories ah John beware of this disorder for when you once get it you are fast but enough of this John I must close for I have to get up at Four o clock in the morning to go down to Portage with old Rosy to the Bucher now John be a good boy and take care of your self live to him who died for you yes John live the life of Jesus for all else is nothing that so you may feel him in the our of death and at the final day John Reid
