Buffalo Wis Jany 29th 1863Friend John enclosed you will find a draft of $15, less exchange that is $10 for yourself and the other five is to get a washing machine and send it to portage city for me that will make $55 that you will receive from me I paid David five dollars which he said that you owe him and that he said that you had given him liberty to get it from me please endorse the amount on the note and that will Keep it all right for changes [it very sudden sometime?], Margaret has been sick and has got a nother little giril she had it to day about noon both are doing well so you see John that things must go - I think Margaret health will get better now anyway she feels better than she did the last time and looks better 492
