Neosho, Nov. 2d, 1862. Friend Muir, I now proceed to answer your very welcome epistle, which was received some time since. I was glad to hear from you and that you had received the money. I am not teaching school this winter as I intended when out there, but I am in my Uncle's store. I do not get quite as much money as I would teaching school, but I like the business better. We are having some quite cool weather here at present, it is snowing now quite hard
