[1]2345 Broadway - San Francisco, Jan. 7, 1894,Dear Mr. Muir - When you were with us last summer, did you not say, through the Sierra Club, you would get a law before the Legislature to protect the singing birds of California?I understand so, and have started a petition with that understanding. There is a Mr. Flint of the Town and Country or Sportsman Club who is a member of the Legislature this term, who has something of the kind in hand. Would it be too much trouble for you to write to him at Sacramento, or to his home San Juan, San Benito [leo?], and see what he has in hand?
