(Original letter in possession ofMrs. Eliza Wolfenden, 1009 KennedySt.,Oakland,Cal.)Martinez, Cal., Nov. 26, 1913. Dear Mrs. Wolfenden:I thank you for your kind reassuring letter of the 12th inst. on the Raker Hetch Hetchy bill. A great majority of all the best men and women active in national affairs are coming to our help in defence of public health and recreation parks, and all signs now indicate, as far as I can read them, that the destructive Raker bill will be defeated in the Senate, but its proponents are working hard and so must we to the finish. Here is a copy of our last circular.Faithfully yours, John Muir05618
