[3][There?] is a H.A.[S?] member on board, Dr. Elliott. He has just finished writing a book on monkies - after six years of study & travel to do it. And his tales of his trip around the world thrill me. If you were only here too I should insist having a kindergarten class again in a life boat on the upper deck every morning! You never yet have written me a word of your South American or Africa trip. & I've begged & begged & begged! Really I want it much more than those old publishers! Your tales in the Atlantic of your boyhood are delightful. I've read two of them while sailing on these Southern Seas. Mother I left with the Harrimans in New York. All are well there. My brother Billy is now living in Pittsburg, the stell & iron city-& my sister is down in Tennessee. So you see we are a separated family.
