Esch of Wisconsin, House "I will be glad to bear in mind the objections raised in your protest: To my mind they are conclusive"Miles Poindexter Senator, Chiarman Committee on Expenditures in the War Dept says "I take pleasure in saying that I am heartily in accord with you in this matter & will be glad to cooperate in any legitimate way to defeat the proposed legislation & certainly to postpone its consideration until after the present session. I am" - very busy "but pressume you will keep posted as to the progress of the measure & I will be obliged...if you will kindly advise me should it be likely to come
