[letterhead]forests & gardens all so beautiful You must be very careful not to take more cold. I do hope Midge the days are not so hot now. & you must all try to cheer up Grandma who has spent so much of her life working for & cheering up others. & Maggie too. Tell Mary Im sorry the mining craze has so blocked up travel so that I could not make arrangements in time for an excursion for her. But she must just come another year when everything clears. I suppose poor mamma is tired out with anxious watching . & Wanda will now be the only strong one & mainstay of the household. Heaven bless you darling, & all of you. Give my anxious love to everybody How glad Ill be to get backEver Your affectionate papaJohn Muir02333
