[First draft of letter, In note-book # 59] (37)[Jan., '02]Mr. B. O. Kendall,From all that I and other friends can learn the King's Daughters' Home is just the place for Mrs. Carr. Mrs. and Mr. John Swett, who have known Mrs. Carr about as long as I have, are heartily interested, and have been making enquiries. Mrs. Swett, whom I consulted, [tells me] that the business part of securing a place for her there is practically settled, This we learned through Mrs. Clark, who has been President of the Home for ten years and has resigned on account of her strength not being equal to the calls made on it. We will visit Mrs. Carr as soon as she arrives, and see that she is comfortably cared for.Very truly yours,J. M.02890
