[2]we made a hard hot 3000 mile side trip through the Crimea,- to Sebastopol, thence by carriage to Yalpa along the picturesque bluffs of the Black Sea over the Bolsklava bath grounds etc. Thence by steamer to Batoum - a fine sail along shore- thence to Borjom in the magnificent richly forested Ante Ca[illegible]casus mountains. Thence to ancient famous Tiflis - very hot very dirty & very interesting Georgian city - Thence across the Caucasus through the grand Dariel Pass past the base of Mt Kazbeck.
