A long weary road but we hope to learn something of plants animals rocks etc to make our labor light & seas & continents narrow Hoping this will be a good year for you & Maggie & wishing to be remembered to Susan Gilroy & Jane Mather & other friends I am ever affectionately your cousin John Muir
