Jan. 23d 1903Mr John MuirMartinez Cal.My Dear Sir:- Pardon my delay in, reply to your letter of Nov 30, in which you acknowledge receipt of photos sent you and asking for some more copies of Double sequoia and the small one of yourself.Owing to a great amount of official work and also for other reasons I have had very little time to devote to printing pictures, which is the principal cause of my being slow.I send you by this mail the additional pictures you asked for and for which there is no charge whatever. I am very much interested in pictures and take pleasure in giving them to my friends and in that way derive much pleasure from my work with my camera.I am very sorry I missed your party in Whitney region, but as I went03148
