Martinez CaliforniaSeptember, 19, 1902My dear Cousin,I am always glad to get your letters from old Dunbar, telling the welfare of yourself & Maggie & all the others our friends & kin. That throat trouble of Maggie's seems long & serious, If it does not leave her soon she will just have to come to California. the dried parts of which are very favorable to sufferers from asthma & most throat & lung troubles. All the families hereabouts & in the eastern states are well or about as usual according to last reports. Maggie Reid is rather better though far from strong. David is well & busy with the ranch & a new house, now nearly finished03056
