New York, January 2, 1902.The next dinner of the National Institute of Arts and Letters will take place at the Alding Association, III Fifth Avenue, New York, at seven o'clock on the evening of Friday, January 24, 1902, when, by request of the Institute, Mr. Brander Matthews will give an address on "The Art of the Dramatist," to be followed by general discussion of the subject.The cost to each member, without wine, will be three dollars.As soon as convenient, will you kindly inform Mr. Johnson, of the dinner committee, whether it is your intention to be present, inclosing check to his order in case of acceptance.Faithfully yours,AUGUSTUS THOMAS,F.
