Martinez, Oct. 7, 1901.Dear professor Anderson;Shortly after the death of our beloved Catherine Merrill Mrs Moores requested me to contribute something to a memorial volume such as you mention in your letter. I then wrote & sent to Mrs Moores just what you are asking for your sketch - the story of our first acquaintance, her kindness when I was blind, my appreciation of her as a friend, teacher philanthropist & pure lovely noble woman - This I sent to Mrs Moores. What if anything has been done with it I don't know. Miss Graydon could probably get it for you. Mrs Muir & I are delighted with the near view of your visit with Flugel. I have long wanted01036
