3I thank you for your kind invitation to Rancho Chico & I must try to manage the trip somehow ere long, perhaps with Wanda & Helen. Mrs Muir has not been able to travel far for several years on account of rheumatism but the girls can go anywhere. I took them to the high Sierra back of Yosemite last summer. This was their first taste of pure mountain wildness & their joy was delightful to see. They are capital travellers & took naturally to mountaineering - climbnig scrambling jumping - thinking nothing of walking 25 or 30 rock miles a day. I want them to know you, & I'm sure you will love them. Wanda is attending the State University, Helen, the baby who is 15 years old has not yet made up her mind as to the University. She is my companion & I let them both do as they like, they are so good. Your minister Mr White who loves humanity
