What autobiographical material J[ohn] Burroughs referred to I don't know. I hope to get some more important matters off my hand before trying the story of my life, which contains but little of general interest. I was a skilful mountaineer, and therefore had few adventures, and my wildest climbs and scrambles were as uneventful as - - Mr. J[ohnson] of the Century Co. has been at me for a long time [letter unfinished][John Muir]02890
