we are having very hot dry weather with high winds, but at such times we can stay within doors We have had a visit from Anna and Jessie Reid they are both now in Chicago where Mr. Waterman would meet them and there they would all go home together after they were tired of the Fair We are all well as usual here, and are very thankful for the many blessings we daily enjoy I hope your visit to Scotland and the dear home of our youth will01684be very pleasant to you, but I think there will be but few friends left to remember any thing about us I have not had any news from California since you left, but I intend to write to some of them soon I hope you will meet Keith in Scotland as you expect and I hope you will have a pleasant visit where ever you may go I will be very glad to hear from you when ever you can have time to writeAffectionatelyMother
