[2]will not forget to make a visit to the cemetery where so many of my dear relatives and friends lie awaiting the resurction morn I hope every day you spend in Scotland will be most pleasant and especially in Dunbar although there may not be many people that will remember our family now I hope you enjoy the pleasure of visiting your Birthplace[3]yesterday I attended the funeral services of Mr. Willm Mitchell the brother of Mrs Arnot that lived on a farm long ago not very far from Hickory Hill - so one old friend after another passes away reminding us of our own destiny The boundaries of Portage are being enlarged in every direction, new buildings are going up and the streets are much improved
