[letterhead]May 15th, 1893.My dear Mr. Muir,I am in receipt of your letter in regard to a meeting of the Directors of the Sierra Club. With your permission I will call the meeting for a week from Saturday, as I shall be in Calistoga next Saturday, and I fear that it may not be possible to get together a [illegible] for this week. I am surprised at Olney’s favoring Irish for such a position. I suppose it is personal friendship. I certainly shall do what little I can to disappoint [Col.?] Irish’s hopes. I received a letter from Pres. Jordan saying he could not preside at a general meeting of the Club before April 5th.Yours sincerely,Wm. D. Armes.Mr. Reid writes me that the Tahoe scheme is a go. He has taken 25 acres of land.01662
