[1][letterhead]My Dear JohnsonI saw Joseffy a few days ago and he says he cannot possibly do that article on Tausig till after new year--if not later. He has been really ill, suffers constantly from insomnia, & has, as you know, been unable on that account to play in public for several years. My wife attends hi class every Tuesday, & we shall keep track of his condition & rope him in as soon as possible. But they are uncertain fellows, these musicians!I have just finished reading Muir's "California Mountains," which I shall review for the Nation-Post. What a delightful book, & what a glorious way of spending one's life!01865[letterhead]Oct 31 1894Dear J. M.The N. Y. Times had a capital article on your book the other day.How do you like its appearance?Faithfully Yours [R. N. J.01865
