779 50On board Stmr PeubloVictoria June 17th 90Dear Louie, We arrived here an hour or two ago after a rather stormy voyage. It is now raining & everything is gloomy & sloppy & cold. I have on 2 pairs of drawers (besides pants) & all the coats I can find. Yet am blue cold. The first day out I staid on deck & shivered until I got rid of my sore throat. Am now quite well & can eat all kinds of [compounds?] even to codfish. In an hour we sail for Port Townsend & then will return on the Queen & stop here an hour or two
