Raymond, Fresno Co., Cal.Dec. 25., 1890.Dear Mr. Johnson:I enclose a clipping of an article of mine. A few land-grabbers are endeavoring to create opposition to the Park, and the Yosemite ring is trying to help them in an underhand way. If the landgrabbers were wise they would not seek to draw attention to themselves. If W. S. Land officials would do their duty there would be a devil of a rumpus over the timber that has been grabbed by "syndicates" and others in the Park region. I see a report that Mr. Special Inspector Newsham has returned twenty-odd photographs of depredations committed in the Yosemite Grant. Somebody perhaps has been giving him a little light since he was up there. But I am positive that 06356
