[2]yesterday and had a pleasant account of their travels. I had given them Johns address, and they found him in San Francisco where he is at present writing, and he wished them to go home with him but as they could not Annie came to San Fran_ and met them there Annie gave them Joannes adress and they made her quite a visit staying with her overnightPerhaps you know that Walter Brown is in 'Europe' at present on business he left New York about the middle of March[3]Our friends thought John looked very tired and weary, and they were told that he works until very late at nightBut they thought Annie looked as well as she had ever done, and she is thinking of coming home this summer. I hope she will be able to bear the severe wintersThey also thought Joanna looked very well she told them she espected to get to Portage this summer.I felt pleased to hear about those absent ones from them that had so [illegible] seen them.
