Hickory hill 7th Jan. 1872.My very Dear Son John. Much I pray for you though seldom have I written to you. yet no less do I love you then were I writing you oftener, and I think my love for you & the rest of my family is growing, especially for your Souls Safety, and eternal Safe Keeping may my good Lord Keep you Safe as in his heart for ever is my prayer to Him. Your Mother Father Sisters Anne & Joanna are all living by faith or trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ for both life & living, as exemplified by the Apostles etc & George Muller of Bristol England, & Dr Charles Cullis Boston etc who is at the head of a consumptives' home at Boston. I have sent you inclosed a little tract wrote by him I am in correspondence both with him & G. Muller of Bristol. I have got Tracts, & Books from both of these Institutions. I get about 20 Annual reports from each of these Institutions and have circulated them all around amongst the churches & others I have sent to Boston for more, & am about sending to Bristol for more, we are very much interested with their Doctrine & manner of living. It is so Bible like.
