[1870?] Yosemite Feb 15thDear Brother Daniel Mr. D. Yours of Jan 30th arrived today & I have an unexpected chance of sending you a line over the [illegible]. I am very sorry that you have been so slow to tell me that you would need money. I was out on the plains a few weeks ago & could have sent you a hundred dollars & you would have been welcome to it as ever you was to a glass of water when thirsty but here I am in the mtns without money & cannot get any I should think that Dave might spare you some. I sent him $350.00 a few months ago. I can give you some next fall & at any other time when I have it. You need never be out of money while I have any Do not be in too big a hurry to
