[in margin: 524?]01030Wisconsin Box 356 Portage Nov 14th 1881.Dear JohnI very gladly received your two letters written on your arrival in Cal= I am glad you found your wife and baby well and that you are feeling well and happy after your long and stormy voyage on the far northern ocean The newspaper clippings you wrote about in your last letter has not come to hand , but I hope they will some time as I am greatly interested in all your travels — I have sent some of the newspapers that Louie sent me to Scotland and I will send you a Glasgow one for a change -
