[1][letterhead][Silka?] Alaska June 9 1880My dear Mr. MuirI have just received your very welcome letter of April 12th & most heartily congratulate you on the very happy event of life in which I am joined by my wife who is here with me, you can hardly realize how happy your letter made us feel and we assure you that we will take advantage of the first opportunity offered to visit you which will probably be next fall or winter. We want very much to meet your wife & it would afford us the greatest pleasure if you can extend your wedding trip to this section where we would entertain you in sailing about the country.
