Pasadena, Cal., May 28th, 1896.John Muir,Martinez, Cal.My Dear Mr. Muir:-I returned last evening from the mountains, and I find your letter of May 4th, which Mrs. Lukens tells me she has answered, or complied with your request. I hope it was clear and satisfactory. Of course you have the privilege of doing anything you like with any of my pictures, and when you part with any of them, if you will let me know the subjects, I will print you duplicates and send you, and it will be a great pleasure for me to do this.I have had a very pleasant month's outing in our mountains, and wish you could have been with me.By the way, what was done at the Sierra Club meeting in regard to my matters?I wish very much that I could be in the mountains with you a month or two this summer. Don't you want to return to the Kings River country, and go from there to the head waters of the San Joaquin and Merced again? Selfish on my part I expect, but I will try and catch you some more fourteen inch trout. With very kindest regards from us all to you and yours,I am,Most Respectfully,
