Mary has been with us for the last four weeks Willis was a good deal of that time attending to business in Madison, they succeeded in dividing the county and he got the nomination for judge of the new county so they went home well satisfied while Mary was here she was busy as ever with painting and crayon [3]George Galloway has been staying with us for the last three months and attending the High School, he has now returned home to work on the farm, he was not at all anxious about this studies. Measles are very plentiful in and around Portage at present but are not very severe One of Davids clerks have got a part of the store to sell groceries in and thinks he is doing very well —
