00917[4]her, if you are not coming very soon, send her Photo - , did you receive the letter I sent, five or six weeks ago. When you return you will find many changes. turn where you will, but you will also find many warm hearts waiting to secure you where ever you are known, friends are continually enquiring about your work and where abouts, and many of your old accauaintance are anxiously awaiting your home coming, expecting a visit and talk with you. Thanks for the paper you sent, the letters were very interesting. Your sea voyage brought so vividly to my recollection our first one, when you were but eleven years old and I thirteen, I had a letter from Father two weeks ago, it makes me sad to think of his being so lame that he is obliged to use a crutch and staff in going around the house. With kindest wishes for your happiness. I am yours, lovingly Sarah[1]Mound Hill May 23rd /80My Dear Brother JohnI have not been in Town for some time and so perhaps have not heard the latest news from you but this I do know, I have tasted your Wedding Cake. John you certainly took us all by surprise; we had been looking anxiously forward to your expected visit but your marriage we had not thought of. I am very glad my dear brother that you have taken to yourself a wife: I feel sure she must be good and true and noble. You have been so kind and good and loving to us all, it must be that God has bestowed upon you the wife whose price is far above rubies, I feel sure I shall love
