[illegible] Portage Dec. 15th 1884 Dear EmmaYour kind letter of Oct. 14th was duly received and gave me much pleasure I like the photo you sent me of your baby very much and I hope all of your family still continue in the enjoy- -ment of good health-I am very glad to know that Danl has quite regained his health and has also acquired a good practice tell him I enjoy my "big Massy [illegible]" in this cold weather very much I hold every one of you continually in loving remembrance
