[letterhead]March 10# 1886John Muir Esq Martinez Cal.Dear BrotherHerewith I hand you a trust Deed from you to Paul K. Corder with Judge J. H. Austin as trustee. The laws of Missouri require this sort of a trust deed in place of a mortgage. Please sign the deed in presence of a Notary Public (the wifes signature is not required). and sign the note and have them all sent back as soon as possible to me. Then in case the title proves bad I will cancel them and return them to you, Judge Austin is a personal friend of mind and is an honest man but if he were not if you pay the notes he has a chance to do harm. I shall send you the Warranty Deed as soon as the papers are examined and I get the Deed of Trust back from you. With regards to all I am Very Truly Walter Brown01222
